56. Mr. Baker Whiteasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if his attention has been called to the case of Mr. Philip R. Dillon, a visitor to this country from the United States, who was required to pay duty and Purchase Tax amounting to the equivalent of 22.95 dollars on a camera purchased in New York for 19.50 dollars and intended for taking photographs while touring in this country; and whether he will issue instructions to end cases of this kind, and arrange for a refund to be made to Mr. Dillon.
