§ 6. Mr. Hurdasked the Minister of Food if he has now considered the representations of the National Dairymen's Association on behalf of retailers of milk 8 in rural areas where consumers are widely scattered and costs of distribution are higher than in the towns; and if he has any statement to make.
§ Mr. StracheyMy Department has discussed this request with the Central Milk Distributive Committee, of which the National Dairymen's Association is a constituent body. The Central Milk Distributive Committee has undertaken to provide further evidence in support of its case, and until this has been received and considered I am not in a position to make a statement.
§ Mr. HurdWill the Minister give an undertaking that he himself will consider the rather special position of this group of retailers?
§ Mr. StracheyYes, Sir; I am sure this matter will come to me personally.
