HC Deb 17 November 1949 vol 469 c2197
65. Mr. Dye

asked the Minister of Agriculture the price which will be paid for home-grown linseed of the 1950 crop; and what arrangements will be made for the return of linseed cake to growers.

Mr. T. Williams

The Ministry of Food will pay for linseed for crushing the same price as for the 1949 crop, namely, £55 per ton for linseed of 90 per cent. purity. Growers of linseed will receive coupons for 12 cwt. of linseed cake for every ton of clean seed sold to approved buyers for crushing or for sowing.
