asked the Minister of Health if he has now received the reports called for from local authorities giving the number of persons on waiting lists for houses.

There are still some outstanding.

Mr. Shephard

Would the Minister publish the result of this inquiry when he receives the information so that we may know how many people are still waiting for houses in this country?

Mr. Bevan

When the lists from the local authorities are complete, they will have to be checked and analysed by the Registrar-General, and that will take some considerable time.

Mr. Lipson

Has the Minister fixed a time limit for the receipt of all these reports?

Mr. Bevan

Yes. I think they are now almost all in.
