asked the Minister of Fuel and Power why no reply has been given by his Department to application from the residents of Sytchampton, near Stomport-on-Severn, for electric power to be laid on to the farms and businesses in that district; and whether such electric power can now be provided.

My approval would be required only for the erection of overhead lines, and no application for this has yet been received in connection with the scheme to which the hon. Member refers.
