68. Mr. Vaneasked the Minister of Agriculture to what extent new houses and other buildings and the reconstruction of houses and buildings on Forestry Commission property is bound by local by-laws and the current licensing regulations governing similar work undertaken on private property.
§ Mr. T. WilliamsThe Forestry Commission, as a Government department, is not bound by local by-laws nor by the current licensing regulations governing the construction or reconstruction of houses and buildings, but in practice they conform to them.
Mr. VaneIs there any possibility of a tenant occupying one of the Forestry Commission houses, quite independently of any contract of service, spending more money on that house than otherwise would be the case?
§ Mr. WilliamsI should hardly think so.
