asked the Minister of Works whether he is now in a position to make a statement in regard to the Manchester United Football Club's application for a building licence for repairs to their ground.

As my hon. Friend will now be aware, I have given instructions for a building licence to be issued to carry out the minimum work necessary to bring the Manchester United Football Club's ground back into full use.

Mr. Austin

Is the Minister aware that that answer will give a great deal of satisfaction to the many thousands of supporters of the finest team in the country?
