asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how much is the police force under strength in the Hornsey sub-division of the Metropolitan Police district.

This sub-division is 73 below its full establishment of 221.

§ Mr. Gammans
Can the right hon. Gentleman give any indication of when this deplorable state of affairs is likely to be remedied?

No, Sir. As I said to the hon. Member for the Moseley Division of Birmingham (Sir P. Hannon), we must now wait until we get the Oaksey Committee report before we can expect much improvement.
