asked the Minister of Supply if he can arrange for the indispensable parts of imported tractors to be made available in this country, as their absence is holding up spring ploughing in Kent.

I am unaware of any such shortage. If the hon. Member will give me particulars of any case of difficulty in obtaining supplies, I will look into it.

Mr. Bossom

Will the Minister take the trouble to inquire of the National Farmers' Union of Kent where he will get plenty of particulars?

Mr. Strauss

I have made inquiries of the Ministry of Agriculture and they have had no representations about a shortage in the Kent area.
