§ 32. Mr. W. J. Brownasked the Minister of Food what steps his Department takes to revise food allocations from time to time in respect of particular towns, in accordance with the growth or diminution of the population in those towns.
§ Mr. StracheySupplies of rationed foods automatically change with the number of registrations. Allocations of sugar, dried fruit, and fats for making certain unrationed foods are adjusted every six months, where necessary, on the basis of population figures prepared by the Registrar-General. These figures are also made available to manufacturers and other first-hand distributors of foods whose distribution we do not control.
