§ Mr. IsaacsOn 19th January there were vacancies for 18,500 men and women in Scotland. Without detailed inquiries I cannot say how many of these were for skilled workers. Where vacancies for skilled workers on essential work cannot be filled locally, and local accommodation is likely to be available, they are circulated to other areas for offer to suitable workers.
