HC Deb 03 November 1948 vol 457 c857
52. Mr. Thornton-Kemsley

asked the Minister of Food if he will now implement the recommendations of the Bodinnar Committee about the sale of poultry and rabbits.

Dr. Summerskill

My right hon. Friend hopes to be able to make a statement on this question in the course of the next few weeks.

Mr. Thornton-Kemsley

Does not the hon. Lady agree that the serious black market in poultry and rabbits tends to cause great disquiet in the country and cast great discredit on the Food Ministry?

Dr. Summerskill

I am certainly not satisfied, but I do not wish to anticipate my right hon. Friend's statement.
