HC Deb 13 May 1948 vol 450 cc2260-1
16. Mr. Sargood

asked the Minister of Health whether he has considered the further amended estimate from the Bermondsey Borough Council still further reducing the cost of the proposed reconstruction of Coxson Place Recreation Ground; and whether, in view of the great reduction from the original estimates of cost and the deletion of the use of essential materials, he will now give sanction for this work to be proceeded with.

The Minister of Health (Mr. Aneurin Bevan)

The revised scheme is still too large to be put in hand at present, but I will review the matter later in the year.
