§ Mr. ShinwellNo such statement was given to officers released before 1st April, 1947. Since then a statement of taxable pay and tax recovered between that date and the date of release is sent to the individual at the end of the tax year. All Army officers, however, received during their service a monthly statement of the pay credited to them during the month and of the Income Tax deducted.
