HC Deb 04 May 1948 vol 450 c1073
17. Mr. Henderson Stewart

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he is aware of the difficulties of the fishermen at Crail in marketing their lobsters and crabs in London; and what steps he proposes to take in the matter.

Mr. Woodburn

The fishermen at Crail recently complained that lobsters and crabs consigned to London by rail did not reach the market in good condition because of delays in transit. The Railway Executive have been asked whether any improvement can be made, and I shall arrange that the hon. Member is informed of developments.
