asked the Minister of Health what will be the arrangements under the National Health Service for members of the Forces taken ill when away from their unit.

Mr. Bevan

Members of the Forces away from their units are at present treated by general practitioners under special arrangements between the Service Departments and the medical profession. These arrangements will continue after 5th July subject to any necessary modification in the light of the National Health Service. Hospital treatment will be available as for other members of the community.
