asked the Secretary of State for War what is his policy towards the 800 men in the Polish Land Forces who have refused to join the Polish Resettlement Corps and who do not desire to be repatriated.

Mr. Shinwell

It is the policy to discharge members of the Polish Land Forces who have refused to join the Polish Resettlement Corps and who do not wish to be repatriated. The total number of men in this category has now been reduced to approximately 100.

What happens to these men when they are discharged from the Polish Land Forces?

Mr. Shinwell

We pass them to the Ministry of Labour, who find employment for them.
