HC Deb 24 February 1948 vol 447 cc1776-7 The following Question stood upon the Order Paper in the name of Mr. VERNON BARTLETT: 76. To ask the President of the Board of Trade whether, in order to counteract the disproportionate amount of material used by followers of the new fashions, he will change the clothes rationing system so that coupons apply to the length of material rather than to the number of garments.

Mr. Speaker
