§ 31. Sir G. Jeffreysasked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that, at Houndstone Camp, near Yeovil, there is no heating in the billets and consequently nowhere to dry wet clothes; that the bathing facilities are inadequate for troops who are often wet and dirty through exposure to weather in the course of their training; that water comes through the walls of billets, and that these are often in darkness through lack of electric light bulbs; and whether he will take steps with a view to the early improvement of the accommodation and of the conditions under which the troops live at this camp.
§ Mr. ShinwellI am having investigations made into this.
