HC Deb 13 April 1948 vol 449 c789
43. Lieut.-Colonel Lipton

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what the U.S. Government has been asked to export to this country during the first year of the European Recovery Programme.

Sir S. Cripps

A tentative programme for E.R.P. supplies during the first three months is now being considered by the United States European Co-operation Administrator. Pending his decision on the programme, I cannot disclose it.

Lieut.-Colonel Lipton

When the decision has been come to, can my right hon. and learned Friend give an assurance that all the information will be submitted to this House?

Sir S. Cripps

As soon as we have any certainty in this matter we shall take steps to inform the House.
