64. Mr. Vaneasked the Minister of Agriculture how many vacancies in the Land Service have been filled since 1st January, 1947; and of those candidates who have been selected whether all are qualified members of some professional society; and how many have had less than two years' professional experience since passing their final examinations.
§ Mr. T. WilliamsOnly one appointment has been made, but 81 candidates have just been declared successful in an open competition held by the Civil Service Commission, and are being offered appointments. I am getting the information asked for in the second and third parts of the Question and will write to the hon. Member.
