HC Deb 17 November 1947 vol 444 c804
53. Mr. Parkin

asked the Minister of Agriculture what quantities of maize and other imported feedingstuffs will be required to implement his livestock programme for the next twelve months; and what quantities, and from which countries, are already promised by contract or trade treaty.

Mr. T. Williams

I am not at present in a position to make a statement about future feedingstuffs requirements and supplies, but I propose to do so at the earliest possible moment.

Mr. Parkin

Will my right hon. Friend lose no opportunity of impressing on his colleagues the implications of the present situation?

Mr. Williams

I can assure my hon. Friend that I am always emphasising to my colleagues the necessity of more feedingstuffs.
