§ 1. Mr. J. Langford-Holtasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, whether he will give an assurance that the accounts of B.O.A.C., B.E.A., and B.S.A.A., will be as rigorously audited as those of any ordinary company, in accordance with the Companies Act, by independent auditors.
§ 2. Mr. Langford-Holtasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, when the accounts of B.O.A.C., B.E.A., and B.S.A.A., will be published; and whether these accounts will be in the form laid down by the Companies Act, as amended, or at least in accordance with best modern practice.
§ 13. Mr. Lennox-Boydasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation when it is proposed to publish the annual accounts of the three air line corporations.
§ Mr. LindgrenThe accounts and annual reports of British Overseas Airways Corporation and British European Airways Corporation for the year ending 31st March, 1947, have been received from the corporations and have been sent to the Stationery Office for printing. The accounts of British South American Airways Corporation are expected within the 356 next few days. They will all be laid before Parliament as soon as they can be printed. As to the second part of Question No. 2, the answer is "Yes, Sir."
