§ 74. Mr. Toucheasked the Minister of Food what steps have been taken to obtain increased supplies of Danish vein cheese following the increased demand for it as a result of its reduction in points.
§ Mr. StracheyWe have just concluded a contract with Denmark for as much blue-vein cheese as they can spare until next December. The tonnage is a little more than we have been getting recently, and is about the same as prewar; but the main reason for the points reduction was to ensure rapid movement into consumption during the warm weather.
