HC Deb 19 March 1947 vol 435 c395
31. Mr. Janner

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General whether arrangements will now be made to reinstate the television programmes in the mornings and afternoons for testing purposes for the benefit of manufacturers and distributors whose work is held up in the absence of such programmes.

32. Mr. John Lewis

asked the Assistant Postmaster-General the date when television will be permitted to recommence operations at some period during business hours, in view of the fact that retailers of television receivers have had their business brought to a standstill due to their inability to demonstrate their sets to potential buyers.

Mr. Burke

An additional television transmission between 1 and 2 p.m. has been started.
