§ The Solicitor-GeneralI beg to move, in page 55, line 40, after "manner," to insert:
and subject to 'the like provisions and restrictions.This is little more than a drafting Amendment. It makes clear that in using power to provide heat from generating stations to be used for buildings, and so on, the boards are to be subject to the same limitations in the exercise of their power as they are for the supply of electricity. For example, they would be bound, as a result of this Amendment, by the provisions of Section 14 of the Electric Lighting (Clauses) Act, 1899, which, provides for certain notices to be given to the Postmaster-General when streets are broken up.
