asked the Minister of Health how many permanent local authority houses have been erected in the borough of Darwen since July. 1945.

I would refer the hon. Member to Appendix B of the Monthly Housing Return.

Mr. Prescott

Is it not a fact that no houses whatsoever have been erected? Why cannot the right hon. Gentleman say so in public?

I have said it in public in many thousands of documents every month.

Mr. Prescott

Why not say it now?
