HC Deb 08 July 1947 vol 439 c2007
5. Lieut.-Commander Clark Hutchison

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he is aware that the supply of British daily newspapers to B.A.O.R. is both irregular and inadequate; and if he will take steps to improve the arrangements for the distribution of British newspapers to units in Germany.

Mr. J. Freeman

Every effort is made to send a regular and sufficient supply of British daily newspapers to the Rhine Army, and I am not aware that the existing arrangements are unsatisfactory.

Lieut.-Commander Clark Hutchison

If I bring some cases to the hon. Gentleman's attention, where the arrangements are not satisfactory, will he look into the matter?

Mr. Freeman

Yes, Sir.
