§ 30. Mr. Molsonasked the Secretary of State for War whether he will stop the existing wasteful practice of burning pitch pine planks 2 by 12 inches and 2 by 9 28 inches suitable for building purposes in the stoves of the prisoner-of-war camp near Sudbury, Derbyshire; and if he will make the planks available to the Ministry of Works.
§ Mr. BellengerInvestigations have disclosed no such practice. No wood has been issued as fuel at this camp and no stocks are known to be missing. A strict watch, however, is being maintained and if the hon. Member has any detailed information and will let me have it I will look into the matter further
