§ Mr. BevanThe date cannot yet be determined. Before the premises can be released other accommodation must be prepared for the day nursery now occupying them, and the county council have been authorised to invite tenders for the necessary work.
§ Brigadier PetoIs not the right hon. Gentleman aware that as long ago as May, 1946, the county council were considering the question of adapting certain huts which had been Army huts, and that a decision was to have been come to very shortly? That was over 18 months ago. What has happened about it?
§ Mr. BevanI do not know, when the hon. and gallant Gentleman talks about the county council concerned considering the matter, whether he means that consideration has been held up by us.
§ Brigadier PetoThe Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Health informed me in August, 1946, about this, and I had his statement in mind when I asked the Minister of Health whether any decision had yet been come to with regard to the adaptation of these huts.
