I beg to move, in page 54, line 45, to leave out from "shall," to the end of the Clause, and to insert: apply in relation to a Regional Hospital Board, Board of Management, a local health authority and an Executive Council, in like marine[...] as the said Section applies in relation to a local authority subject however to the following modifications—

  1. (a) for any reference to that Act there shall be substituted a reference to this Act; and
  2. (b) for the reference to two months there shall be substituted a reference to twelve months."
This is designed to meet a point raised on the Committee stage. The period of time during which any action or proceedings shall be brought against any authority or officer is changed from two months to 12 months. That is to meet the criticism that two months was too short a time.
