HC Deb 01 April 1947 vol 435 c1815
9. Mr. Champion

asked the Secretary of State for War if he will now make arrangements for those men whose leave from Palestine was stopped as far back as October of last year to have an early period of leave in this country.

Mr. J. Freeman

My hon. Friend appears to be under a misapprehension. Leave to this country from Palestine was not stopped in October or since then, but has continued under the normal rules.

Mr. Champion

Will the Financial Secretary then look into cases which I have of men complaining bitterly of their leave having been stopped in October last and that they have not yet had it?

Mr. Freeman

Yes, Sir, I will certainly do so.
