asked the Minister of Agriculture if he will give an estimate of the loss of the grain crop, owing to the weather conditions, in Wales this year.

According to preliminary indications on 30th September, 1946, the yields of wheat, barley and oats in Wales will in each case be 13 or 14 per cent below the respective ten-year average. These percentages relate to the whole of the crops for which a use can be found and therefore do not reflect the decline in average quality.
