Mr. Baldwinasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether his attention has been drawn to the action of the Government of Kenya in setting up a committee to keep under constant review those defence regulations which have been retained, and to advise the Kenya Government on their revocation or amendment; and whether he will bring this example to the notice of other Colonies.
Mr. Creech JonesInstructions have been sent to all Colonial Governments to keep all emergency legislation under regular and careful review. The question whether this can best be done by setting up a committee as in Kenya is a matter for decision according to local circumstances in each territory.
