§ Mr. IsaacsThis precise information is not readily available. During the financial year ended 31st March, 1946, the corporation managed 64 industrial hostels for my Ministry, the capital cost of which was approximately £7,500,600. The total deficit incurred by the corporation at 31st March, 1946, covering the period from the middle of 1941 to that date, was approximately £1,400,000 excluding capital charges and some part of the cost of heating and maintenance.
