HC Deb 28 May 1946 vol 423 c968
17. Mr. Stanley Prescott

asked the Minister of Works how many prefabricated houses are at present stored by his Department owing to lack of fitments.

Mr. Tomlinson

Hardly any prefabricated houses are stored owing to lack of fitments. The normal practice is to deliver houses as soon as sites are ready for their erection.

Mr. Prescott

The right hon. Gentleman says that hardly any are stored. Does he mean by that, that those are stored pending being sent out to the sites for erection?

Mr. Tomlinson

Yes, Sir.
