HC Deb 28 May 1946 vol 423 c982
46. Mr. Vernon Bartlett

asked the Prime Minister whether he is aware that several Government White Papers and other official documents are frequently published on one day, with the result that they cannot be adequately summarised in the exiguous newspapers of our times; and if he will make arrangements to insure a more judicious selection of dates for publication.

The Prime Minister

Yes, Sir. I am aware of this difficulty and have taken such steps as are possible to improve the existing arrangements.

Mr. Wilson Harris

Will the Prime Minister alternatively, or in addition, do something to remove the causes of the exiguity of the newspapers?
