HC Deb 25 March 1946 vol 421 cc2-3
4. Professor Savory

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether his attention has been called to the raid carried out a few days ago by some 300 members of the Polish Security Police on the headquarters of the Polish Peasant Party in Warsaw; whether he is aware that the offices of the "Gazeta Ludowa," the organ of the Polish Peasant Party, were 'surrounded and searched, that the editor's desk was ransacked and documents taken away; and whether he has asked the British Ambassador in Warsaw to protest against these proceedings as inconsistent with the Yalta Agreement.

Mr. McNeil

A report has recently been received from his Majesty's Ambassador upon this incident. My right hon. Friend is giving the subject his closest attention.
