§ 99. Mr. Nutting, asked the Minister of Works, whether first priority will be granted to the agricultural industry in the disposal of Army huts in rural areas to enable prisoner of war labour, employed in agriculture, to be adequately and conveniently housed.
§ Mr. WilsonWhere provision from official sources of accommodation for groups of prisoners of war employed in agriculture, is involved, this is undertaken by my Department and no question of disposal of huts appears to arise. If the suggestion is that huts should be provided to enable individual farmers to accommodate prisoners of war allotted to them, I am quite willing to consider priority for this project in any case in which the application has the support of my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture.
