asked the Prime Minister what decision has been arrived at upon the question of designating one Minister to receive general representations from coastal towns and to co ordinate their interests.

The Prime Minister

I have agreed with my right hon. Friend the Lord Privy Seal that he will be responsible for receiving general representations from coastal towns regarding their rehabilitation and for co-ordinating the necessary action upon them.

While thanking the right hon. Gentleman for that reply and assuming gratefully that the Government are saying to the seaside resorts, in the words of Shakespeare, Come hither, come hither, come hither, Under the greenwood tree, may I ask him to impress upon the Lord Privy Seal the need to give immediate attention to this matter, so that hotels, boarding houses., apartment houses and seaside resorts generally, may have the advantage of —
