asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what action His Majesty's Government have taken to obtain from the Siamese Government full compensation for those British nationals who were interned in concentration camps prior to Siam becoming a belligerent in the Japanese war.

The questionof compensation for war-prejudice of all kinds suffered by British interests in Siam is now under active consideration. His Majesty's Government have expressed their agreement with a suggestion by the Siamese Government that an Anglo-Siamese Claims Committee shall be set up to investigate claims.
