Resolved:
That for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to amend the Government of India Act, 1935, with respect to the qualifi-

cations of members of the Governor-General's Executive Council, to extend temporarily the powers of the Indian Legislature to make laws, to amend Subsection (4) of Section one hundred and two of the said Act as to the effect of laws passed by virtue of a Proclamation of Emergency, and for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid it is expedient to authorise the payment out of the revenues of India of such sums as may become payable therefrom by reason of any of the provisions of the said Act of the present Session." — (King's Recommendation signified.) — [Mr. Arthur Henderson.]
