HC Deb 07 March 1946 vol 420 c478
6. Lieut.-Colonel Boles

asked the Assistant Postmaster - General what arrangements are in existence for postal communications between civilians in this country and German nationals in Germany.

Mr. Burke

There is at present no civil postal service between this country and Germany. The Control Commission for Germany has, however, announced that it is hoped to introduce a restricted international postal service to and from Germany by the beginning of April. I would also call the hon. and gallant Member's attention to the reply which is being given today by my right hon. Friend the Home Secretary concerning distressed persons in Germany.
