§ 24. Colonel J. R. H. Hutchisonasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Civil Aviation whether the agreement with the Government of Eire relating to air services is already in operation on a provisional or definite basis.
§ Colonel HutchisonAre we to take it that when we have an opportunity to debate this agreement the door is already closed and barred?
Mr. ThomasThe agreement has certainly been made, but if the House were to express an adverse opinion it can always be amended in accordance with the provisions therein contained. However, I have not the slightest doubt that when the Debate occurs I shall succeed in convincing the House that it is a good agreement.
§ Sir Ronald RossCan it not be left to a free vote?
