§ 68. Mr. D. Marshallasked the Minister of Food whether he will charge the transport levy in respect of dogfish only on the skinned weight, since long-line fishermen are unable, by reason of the damage caused to their hands, to skin this fish before first sale, and thereby suffer financial hardship.
§ Mr. StracheyI cannot accept this particular suggestion as a suitable solution of the dogfish difficulty, but I have asked that the possibility should be looked into of helping long line fishermen to get the fish skinned, ashore, before first sale.
