Lords Amendment: In page 31, line 7, leave out "or allowances," and insert: and such reasonable allowances in respect of expenses properly incurred in the performance of their duties.

I beg to move, "That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said Amendment."

The object of the Amendment is to make it clear that allowances are limited to expenses properly incurred.
