HC Deb 30 July 1946 vol 426 c912

Lords Amendment: In page 21, line 17, at end, insert: (d) in Subsection (7) for the reference to Part II of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1944, there shall be substituted a reference to Part II of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act, 1945.

10.15 p.m.

The Joint Under-Secretary of State tor Scotland (Mr. Buchanan)

I beg to move, "That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said Amendment."

This is, substantially, a drafting Amendment to remove any possible doubt which might exist that the compensation provisions contained in the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act, 1945, will apply to purchase by development corporations.

Lords Amendment: In page 26, leave out lines 29 to 35.

Mr. Buchanan

I beg to move, "That this House doth agree with the Lords in the said Amendment."

The Amendment is designed to carry out an agreement or undertaking that we gave during the passage of the Bill.
