asked the Minister of Works whether it is intended to repair the ceiling of the present Chamber of the House of Commons where the German bomb penetrated.

Mr. Tomlinson

The repair of the ceiling of this Chamber will be put in hand during the coming Recess.

Mr. Lindsay

Is not this bomb damage part of the history of this ancient House, and would it not, therefore, be much better to leave it as it is at present?
