§ 22. Lieut.-Colonel Sharpasked the Minister of Town and Country Planning whether he has yet received the Report of the Hobhouse Committee on National Parks; and what action is being taken to implement the Committee's recommendation.
§ Mr. F. MarshallMy right hon. Friend hopes to receive a confidential preliminary memorandum from this Committee within the next three months, and to be able to publish their Report before the end of the year.
§ Lieut.-Colonel SharpIn view of the fact that the Minister stated that a Committee had been appointed in August, 1945, which was expected to report to this House or to the right hon. Gentleman within a 1022 year, can the Minister say whether he is quite definite that that report will be received at the time stated?
§ Mr. MarshallWe hope it will be available by the end of the year, but we must recognise that the creation of national parks does raise certain difficult and complex administrative problems.
