HC Deb 25 February 1946 vol 419 c1545
27. Mr. Lipson

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether permission can now be given to retail traders to send decorated china and ware to their customers abroad, with advantage to the export trade and to our dollar resources.

Sir S. Cripps

Yes, Sir. The export of pottery is not subject to licence, and any retailer wishing to buy decorated ware for export has only to apply to the Board of Trade for an Exporter's Certificate.

Mr. Lipson

Is the right hon. and learned Gentleman aware that the retailers wish to export, and if so, are they allowed to do so?

Sir S. Cripps

Any retailer who wishes to do so has only to apply to the Board of Trade for an exporter's certificate.
